Why did I get a late fee if I paid my VISA early?
Visa cards work differently than loans. Making a payment early does not change your due date.
Each month, your Visa has a billing cycle. When the cycle ends, a statement is created and a payment due date is set, usually about 25 days later. To avoid a late fee, a payment must be made on or before the due date shown on your statement, even if you already made a payment earlier in the month.
